Making the TTC Safer

Transit needs to be safe, and feel safe.

Mayor Chow has announced a plan to put crisis workers on TTC subway platforms 24/7 to improve safety for everyone.

In last year's budget Mayor Chow was proud to expand the Toronto Community Crisis Service city-wide. It’s our fourth emergency service, alongside police, fire and paramedics. Now we are expanding the Crisis Service again - this time right inside our subways starting November 15.

Mayor Chow is bringing a proven approach directly into our transit system, and building on our broader safety strategy -- more visible staff, more frequent service, and strong partnerships with social service providers and police.
